Buying guide
Is your kitchen ready for a combi oven?
Power, water, drainage and ventilation — everything to check before installation day.
Most 10-grid and larger combi ovens need a three phase (400V) supply. Smaller models are often available (or can be converted) in single phase (230V).
Check your consumer unit for three incoming connections rather than one, or ask your electrician to confirm your available power consumption.
Combi ovens need a plumbed cold water connection with an isolation valve for servicing. Most ovens connect to a 3/4" cold water feed.
Water hardness matters. Untreated hard water is the leading cause of avoidable descaling callouts, and most manufacturers require filtration or softening as a condition of warranty.

If a suitable drain is above or level with the oven, a gravity waste connection is enough. If not, a pumped drain kit lifts waste water to the nearest drain point.
Waste water can come out hot, so it usually needs to cool before joining shared drainage.
Tundish and Drain Kit are recommended for XS, 6 and 10 grid. Floor drainage or Drain Pump and Drain Kit needed for 20 and 40 grid units.
For electric units, an optional UltraVent or Condensation breaker.
